How long have you been in business?
The Metal Peddler was formed in 2004 and incorporated in PA in 2006. We've been selling online that whole time, and have more than half a million happy customers with our products in their home - and thousands of them have become repeat buyers.

Do you have a retail store?
No, we don't. We do have products available at Philsons and Friends Artisanal Wares in Grove City Premium Outlets (October-Dec only) and at a few independent pet stores around the country.
If you live near us in Butler County PA, you can order online and pick up from our shop when your order is ready.
Can I pick up my product from you to save shipping cost?
Yes, you may. There will be an option for that at checkout. We are located in Butler County in Western PA (Map link).
Our hours for pick up are 10AM to 4PM Mon to Fri. We will call or email when your order is ready for pick up.
What type of metals do you use?
Most metal on our website is American 16 gauge steel. We source it from American mills, and most is made from up to 70% recycled steel. It is specially treated at the mill with a rust resistant coating.
For some applications we may use lighter or heavier material, but that will be stated on the product page.
Do you use my information for anything else?
No. If you sign up for our newsletters, you will only get a few per year. There's nothing worse than getting an email everyday from a business. We also don't pass your details to other entities.

Can you make something different for me?
We love custom work. Click the contact us link to sent us a message. Include details of what you want - type of product, design, size, and your location so we can calculate shipping costs too.
Where are your products made?
All of our steel products, all hooks, and copper nails are made in the US. The steel products are made in Pennsylvania using American steel and American powder for coating.
Can I just call to place me order?

Do you still make copper products?
Just a few!
However, we discontinued our copper range hoods and copper counters in late 2022/early 2023.

Can you make something I saw somewhere else?
It really depends what it is. We don't steal someone else's intellectual property (that is, take their hard work at design and copy it) but we might have something similar or we might be able to purchase a license to create it for you.
All of the work on our website was designed in house by us or we purchased a license to reproduce it.
We don't reproduce famous brand names and logos.
