Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Fence Post Caps
How do I mount these?
The stainless steel fence post caps come with matching screws.
The copper fence post caps come with threaded copper nails with a rose head. For hard woods, drill a small pilot hole, and protect the attractive nail head by either using a rubber mallet or using a barrier between the nail head and the hammer.
Is it solid copper/ real stainless steel?
Yes! We use real copper and 304 stainless steel for our fence post caps.
Will the copper fence post caps change color?
Our copper caps are made with real copper and are not sealed. They will develop a natural patina over time. The color and speed of that will depend on your climate and environment. Humid and wet climates will cause a patina to develop much faster. In most circumstances this will be a penny brown, but it does vary.
Will it fit my post?
In the US, wooden posts are not always the size indicated by their name. Example, a 4x4 could be 3-1/2 inches or actually 4 inches. We recommend measuring your post before purchasing the caps. We offer a variety of sizes. If you are unsure, contact us.
