Copper comparison chart
If someone gave you a steel ring and coated it with gold leaf, would you call it gold jewelry? Or would you call it a gold-leaf ring? With copper, we find that some companies get away with applying a thin layer of copper or copper foil over wood and steel and then call it a copper product. We believe that if you pay for copper, you should get copper! And you should get the highest quality for the application.
Copper is a soft metal, though can be hardened, and so will dent and scratch if the wrong gauge is used for your application.
